Hello!

Iā€™m Alison, a massage therapist and owner of Revitalize Massage Studio. My interest in massage began when I was very young. My Dad would come home from his physically grueling job and I would walk on his back. I enjoyed it partly because it was fun and partly because I knew it was helpful in relieving some of his pain. As I grew older and would give friends back rubs, they insisted that massage was my future career. Shortly after my high school graduation I enrolled in Thousand Oaks Healing Arts Institute(TOHAI) for their 250 hour Swedish Massage Program. It was here that I learned the basic skills and benefits of Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage.

After moving to Northern California I had an opportunity to work under Dr. Jay Patt, a skilled chiropractor in Grass Valley. It was at Dr. Patt Chiropractic where I developed my Swedish massage skills and honed them to help with issues like whiplash and sciatica.

More recently I have continued my education at Massage Therapy Institute (MTI) in Davis, California where I studied Reflexology, Pregnancy Massage, and Trigger Point Therapy for an additional 250 hours of training. The instructors at MTI Davis were so passionate and knowledgeable that my old love of massage resurfaced with new vitality.

My style tends towards a Deep Swedish Massage. I like to combine the relaxing elements of Swedish with the productivity of deeper work. I am naturally drawn towards trigger points in the body that tend to offer pain relief. As my practice continues, now in my very own space, I hope to offer a peaceful place where my clients can experience a revitalization of body, mind and spirit.
